In certain situations, we may also collect additional data from you, such as criminal records and (alleged) misconduct.

We may also collect the above-mentioned categories of personal data from sources other than yourself. For example, if you are working for/with one of our business partners or are otherwise affiliated with them, they may provide us with such data about you as needed. Also, in exceptional cases where our business partners are alleged to be involved or otherwise associated with any business misconduct, we may receive personal data from other sources such as whistleblowers.

We will process your personal data based on one or more of the following legal bases for the purposes set forth below:

In certain exceptional cases, the above may also involve processing of personal data, that is additionally protected under the GDPR and the BDSG for being particularly sensitive. In such cases we will make sure that we will only process this sensitive data if and to the extent legally allowed, for example where we have certain legal obligations to do so or when we need to establish, exercise or defend against legal claims, or, in case of personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences, when such processing is additionally authorized by EU or German law providing for appropriate safeguards.

4. Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties

We may share your personal data with our affiliates, including our headquarters in Japan, and our suppliers to the extent necessary to fulfil the purposes referred to in Section 4.

We may also disclose your personal data to third parties, including public authorities, if such disclosure is required to comply with legal obligations to which we are subject, to cooperate with relevant governmental authorities and agencies, or to establish, exercise, or defend against legal claims.
